Northern Illinois Agritourism

The scenic hills of northern Illinois are packed with farms, orchards, and especially wineries along the Northern Illinois Wine Trail. Just northwest of the Chicago area, Woodstock is teeming with agricultural activity. Check out U-pick farms like Country Cabin Farm, Homestead Orchard, McCann Berry Farm, More Than Delicious Orchard, Woodstock Country Orchard, and the All Seasons Apple Orchard-Pumpkin Patch.

Set just west of the Chicago metro area, Sandwich features the Fox Valley Winery, and Larson's Family Farm – offering pumpkins and Christmas trees during the holidays, plus farm tours, hayrides, and bonfire nights.

Located in the northwestern corner of Illinois, Galena is a historic city known for golfing, skiing, and agritourism. Meet some new, fuzzy friends at Adventure Creek Alpaca Farm, or pick out your favorite at Ochs Christmas Tree Farm.

Pick peaches, peppers, and pumpkins at White's Berry Farm, or simply take some home from Wooded Wonderland Country Store. And if you’re looking to relax, try the Galena Cellars Vineyard & Winery.

For more Christmas tree farms, head to Geneseo for the Webers Christmas Forest and the Voltz Tree Farm. Found on the Mississippi River, the Moline area is part of the Quad Cities. Moline features the historic Deere-Wiman House & Butterworth Center, and the AG exhibits at the John Deere Pavilion. East Moline is home to the Shady Knoll Farm, where you can take home pumpkins, asparagus, walnuts, and cut flowers.
